    Tony hughes

I know there has been talk of him returning... and if so I'm fine with that, but someone told me today he was interested but only for DC... please tell me we wouldn't do that.

I love Tony, but, only 14 people in the world get to be an SEC-DC at any given time, soooo.

If Moorhead makes him DC, we have made a terrible HC hire.

I don't believe he would do that.
Not only did Mississippi State embarrass LSU on this night. Davis Wade Stadium wrecked Tiger Stadium in music choice, atmosphere and, most of all, volume.

He will be in charge of recruiting if he came back. Not defensive coordinator. Jesus.

Moorhead is a very intelligent man and was a great hire so that eliminates that.

No. He is an excellent recruiter especially in state. I would love to have him back in some capacity. Just not DC, that?s absurd

Hughes is a great recruiter. You assign him to 2 or 3 kids and he will get them. I would pleased with him as our S coach or TE coach.

If you are going to pay somebody about $1 million to $1.5 million, for the DC position, I do believe that you can find a much more qualified candidate.

Of note... the talent in Mississippi is at an all time high next season, OM scholarship reductions are coming to an end, and we hired a guy not from this area. Hughes could be a godsend helping clean up in the state next season

MSU did not push him out the door. He wanted to be a head coach and took a pay cut, from his salary here, to do so.
