Think these guys have Missouri and LSU some time in December. Will be very interested to see the results from those two games. Might give us a little gauge as to how we might fair overall. Thought SFA was a good team.

SFA is a good team for sure. They were great in the first half and really outplayed us but we got them tired and in foul trouble and they went cold for ten minutes straight in the 2nd half. This might be Howland's best win at MSU. SFA is a tourney team and should win their league. Carter has a higher ceiling than Newman. He has sneaky length, good hops and is quick to the basket. He scored 25 points with ease tonight and only made one 3. He's very impressive driving to basket and is an 85% free throw shooter. Only a matter of time till his threes start dropping. If he plays even half this good going forward Newman leaving is a blessing for him and us. Datcher has stolen almost all of Herard's minutes. I like Herard but he's gotta pick it up offensively if he wants to ever see the floor. Datcher is only gonna get better. Peters gonna be back next year so someone needs to pay their own way next year or get an academic scholi. Very pleased with this win tonight. Good job Howland!

The big thing is Carter can finish at the rim. Also Carter could actually run the point. Datcher might be the most improved player. He is a Wiley Peck clone, I hope He can become a Chairman of the Boards. Plus we swapped IJ for Baby Spoon, Big advantage for this years team. And we have a full roster and Great depth. I would like to us pressure more.

Everybody hates a "I told you so", but last year when most everyone here was doggin' Datcher, I said on several occasions the guy was gonna be good.

Here's my point, while Herard is certainly not performing up to expectations, he IS a gifted athlete. We gotta remember he didn't start playing basketball till he was in high school...He's gonna be a player! I wish we could redshirt him and give him more time to develop.
