The Rest of the Year in Steps

1 - We play Arkansas next week and beat them at their house. The team gets good experience doing what we need to do next year, which is to learn to beat SECW teams at their house. This Year aTm and Ark. Next year, expect even more.

2 - The following week we beat OM at our House. This will seal the year for our guys and they will do what is expected and what they deserve. 9/3 is light years ahead of what the hacks said we would do Preseason, and what most of us said.

3 - At some point, either before or after the OM game, life will hit a huge pothole at UM and they will begin learning how t live with their new place in the SECW, which is somewhere in a lower level basement. Sub Basement-1? Sub Basement-2? Sub Basement-3? - who cares - They will be heartbroken they have been hit so hard and we will be disappointed they got off so easily. Regardless a new day will begin in their lives and it won't be pretty.

4 - We will get a better bowl game than anyone thought we would before the season started. It will be the biggest challenge of the rest of the year for us, but we must trust the Team's desire to win and our coaching staff's ability to train, develop and motivate. The team learns as they mature through the year. The coaches learn and mature too. I'm not so sure about us, but we'll see how it goes.

5 - We will realize what a good job Dan and the recruiting staff have done a little later and we will then begin blue-skying about next year.

10/3 - What a year this will have been!

You left off one thing: dot all the Is and cross all the Ts because the Confederates will be desperate to take us down with them. They are already trying and it worked very well for them the last time. We can’t let it happen this time around.
