Citrus Bowl almost a lock if 9-3

Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia should all be safely in the NY6 now, so all we need to do is finish 9-3 and we'll be headed for Orlando to play against a Big 10 team like Penn State, Michigan, or Michigan State.

I'd love to play Penn State. Beating them in a bowl game would look good for next season.

Any possibility of an ACC team? I know that they changed the tie in to ACC/Big 10/Notre Dame recently.

At 9-3 I would expect a ton of hype for Mullen vs Meyer

I'd love to play Michigan, Penn State, or OSU. Either would be awesome.

I think that UGA losing hurt our FL bowl chances. If LSU, Aubbie and us are all 9-3 at the end of the season we will be on the short end of the stick.

LSU was in citrus last season. Auburn will be playoff or NY6

Auburn can do the same thing to Bama that we did. Then they would rematch with Georgia. Auburn wins the SEC they almost have to put them into the playoff.

No we won't. Auburn is going to be ranked high enough to sneak into the NY6 even if they lose to Alabama, and there's a 100% chance we're ahead of LSU in the pecking order if we both finish 9-3.

This isn't 1999 anymore, nor is it whatever year 7-4 Ole Miss sat at home while 6-5 Alabama played in a bowl. The SEC has always ensured that teams go to the proper bowl in the last decade.

Which Aubbie team will show up against Bama; the one that beat us and UGA or the one which lost to LSU?

Scenario: Auburn beats Alabama and Georgia to win the SEC.
    Auburn (11-2) to Playoffs
Alabama (11-1) to Orange Bowl. Should be ranked 5th or 6th and get the SEC/B1G/ND autobid to the Orange. Also possible they could get in the Playoffs.
Georgia (11-2) to Peach Bowl. Should still be ranked in the 8-10 range and still get a NY6 bowl. Will be in line in front of Notre Dame.
Mississippi State (9-3) to Citrus Bowl

Scenario: Alabama beats Auburn and Georgia to win the SEC
    Alabama (12-1) to Playoffs
Georgia (11-2) to Orange Bowl maybe or otherwise another NY6 Bowl.
Auburn (9-3) would be ranked in the 9-11 range and get another NY6 Bowl, probably Peach.
Mississippi State (9-3) to Citrus Bowl

Scenario: Alabama wins Iron Bowl, but Georgia wins the SECCG
    Georgia (12-1) to Playoffs
Alabama (12-1) to Playoffs maybe, or otherwise to Orange Bowl
Auburn (9-3) would be ranked in the 9-11 range and get another NY6 Bowl, probably Peach.
Mississippi State (9-3) to Citrus Bowl

Scenario: Auburn wins Iron Bowl, but Georgia wins the SECCG
    Georgia (12-1) to Playoffs
Auburn (10-3) would be ranked in the 9-11 range - the Committee won't punish them for having a 3rd loss in a championship game.
Alabama (11-1) could be in Playoffs, otherwise Orange or other NY6
Mississippi State (9-3) to Citrus Bowl

The only thing that might screw us is if Georgia loses to Kentucky or Georgia Tech, but as Georgia beats those and we go 9-3, Citrus is our destination.

Michigan state would be a good matchup. Penn St and Ohio State....I'm afraid that would be like playing Bama again. No thanks.

Would the Auburn rematch against GA be more competitive being played in Atlanta?

Given that it's at Jordan Hare and they lost to LSU in Baton Rouge- the one that beat us and Georgia.
