We stayed at 16 in the CFP Poll....
Shouldn't be a surprise, we didn't set the world on fire this weekend.

Agree. I'm just glad we didn't fall.
-
Same. Was worried me might fall a bit.

Auburn at #10 pretty much controls their destiny. They have #1 and #2 at home. If they win those, they have Georgia again. If they win out (very doubtful), they most likely make the playoffs with 2 losses.
-
Auburn loses both to be the only team ranked with 4 losses.
-
I don't care much about today's poll but my hope is in next weeks.

Say we win out. Georgia beats AU and AU beats Bama. MSU, Bama, and AU have the same record. Who plays in the SECCG?

I'd bet AU...

I think that's right. They'd be 2-0 against 1-1 for us and Bama. Still, for me at least, it's good to see the possibility of being tied at the top of the class.

I think we have a legitimate shot this week if we can fix the long bomb issue. Luckily Hurts isn’t strong at throwing the long bomb. Their absolute decimation from injuries at LB will help our offense immensely. If Fitzpatrick can’t go this week, we could legitimately move the ball well. We will need Fitz to give us a Johnny Manziel type of performance for us to have a chance. Our players should be pumped for this game like we were against LSU. The atmosphere should be electric.

I'm with you. I think we win if we make plays when the opportunity to do so arises. Dropped passes, missed tackles, and holding calls cannot be allowed.

I agree. Some thought we would advance, but that showing Saturday didn't help us in the eyes of the Committee.
-
Probably not happening, BUT:
If,
- we win out
- UGA wins out
- AU beats Bama
Would we have the 2nd best resume in the SEC?
-
This isn't a good sign for us as far as making a NY6 bowl IMO. It looks to me like we're going to the Citrus if things play out as expected for us and we end up 9-3. The reality is when you are a ranked team like us and you play UMass at this point in the season you can't try to hold back guys like Fitz especially given the fact that we have deficits at WR- even though I understand why Dan did until the second half. If we had beaten them 56-23 even I think we would have moved up in the polls.
UMass having a pretty good kicker and a pick 6 really hurt us in the perception department this week.

Based on our resume I have no problem at #16. And I also like the committee 10x better than the generic polls...BUT how many teams ahead of us would have a better resume with our exact schedule?
