32 seniors to be exact. That's straight off the roster, and doesn't account for the JUCO redshirts. And you have to consider some attrition, etc. and maybe an influx of JUCOs. If we hit on another good 2019 JUCO class we could be looking at a 1999 with a good QB coming into his junior year.

5 of those in the 32 are redshirting this year - Rivers, Cole, Landrews, Autry, Champion. But, 27 is still a lot. 20 of those see significant PT right now.

Why are we talking about 2 years from now?

Will certainly be good to have a couple senior DLs and OLs. Phillips is redshirting too I think. Reese will be a junior, Eiland will be a junior and Williams will be a senior. OL appears to be in good shape but we better backfill behind them. I imagine the overall DL picture looks good too because we have recruited that position very well.

Because we want to see a solid program be constructed. We are not where we need to be now so we look to the future.

Wait a minute, so now we are worried about having a "veteran club", where are the DM haters who are tired of "we are young"?

Dang, let's worry about the Aggies, talking two years or even next year is crazy!

Hard to project two years out, but we look like we'll be in good shape on offense based on what's in the pipeline. Will basically have two tackles that are third year starters. Daryl Williams should still be here, so just need to find two OL in the next two years. Hill will be here at RB and our receivers should be better than they are now. Key should be promising at qb.

Defense we're not playing as many underclassmen. Gay will be here. Errol Thompson will. Lewis should be. Simmons will likely be gone. Not sure who else off hand.

What about 2042? I'll be coming up on 100 that year.

Don't we have a top 20 or better class coming in this year? They'll all be here then.

Yea, we lose a lot of Seniors (+/- 27 or so) BUT we have a really good '18 class coming in that will fill some gaps especially at WR & CB. Add in the '19 Class .. best in Mississippi in ~20 years, COUPLED with the OM sanctions .. and the train keeps right on rolling with Dan and Grantham leading the way.

The future .. indeed .. looks bright.

I think 2019 will be just as good if not better than 2018. The next 5 years will be the best stretch in MSU history. Mark it down.
