Wait, nick has a qbr that?s 16th in the country after facing the toughest 3 game stretch of any team in the country? You would think fitz is terrible by reading this board

I think our WRs are pretty terrible but Fitz is developing as a passer. He is one of the best running QBs in the country.

Numbers can certainly be deceiving... There's no way we're the even top 20 in actual passing defense. We're just #5 in total yardage given up via the pass.

I have a feeling our WR corp is going to start to break out.

Yep. These stats are skewed because a) Kentucky hasn't played a good rushing team yet and b) we haven't played a good passing team yet.

Meaningless. The voter polls past #10-15 are based almost solely on blind record, with maybe a slight bump one way or another if you played particularly well or poorly in a high profile game the previous week. Kentucky hasn't played a good team.

I certainly hope so although playing UGA and AU was pretty tough. Only Bama left with an elite defense so hopefully the passing game is better for the rest of the season.

Kentucky has played arguably one of the weakest schedules in the SEC and lost to the best team they've played (UF ) with 10 men on the field on the final play. That just screams ineptitude. We should win by at least 10-14 points if we come to play. Mizzou, USM, and Eastern Michigan gave UK all they could handle. They looked like a decent team vs South Carolina but....we better than them

Fitz's QBR is definitely impressive given the SEC defenses we've faced. But it's also indicative of how much we rely on his running ability in our offense. ESPN's QBR takes into account "points added" by passing and running, and then "points added" (or "points subtracted," depending on the case) via sacks taken and penalties assessed. Fitz's "points added" rankings for both running and sacks are stellar -- 3rd in the nation for both. His rank for "points added" via passing, however, is horrible -- 112th out of 131 FBS QBs.

A quick note about KY's run defense. Overall, they've done pretty well. But keep this in mind -- in three SEC games (vs. Missouri, SC, and Florida) they're allowing an average of 5.1 yards per carry. They shut down SC (2.7 ypc), but Missouri and FL ran at will against them -- MO averaged 5.2 ypc for 186 total rushing yards and FL averaged 6.5 ypc for 213 rushing yards.

If we could manage over 4 ypc at UGA and AU, and nearly 6 ypc against LSU, I'd like to think that we can run on KY as well as FL and MO.

Kentucky's offense has only scored over 30 on one team so far: Mizzou. The other scores were low and mid 20s.

I think we are going to run the ball down their throats. Force them to completely sell out on the run and then hit a couple long passes for either TDs or deep red zone yardage.

On defense we have to shut down Juice. He's made some key plays for them in tight games.

Those games took four quarters to get into the 20"s. Wasn't like they had games under control going into the 4th. Our four wins we played second and third string in the fourth. Their five wins they kept their 1st teams in for the entire 4th Quarter.

    Excellent point Jack!!

USM was hanging with them in the 4th quarter.

If we swapped schedules, we would be 6-0! As long as coach doesn't try to be cute and stick to running the dang ball, we will be just fine.
Our WR's really need to step it up! Due to the inability of our WR's to find any separation regardless of who we are playing, if Fitz puts it there, you dang well need to catch it!
Dropped passed really chap my rear end.
    Love All Worship One!
    Go Dawgz!

I wonder if it's the same three that said we'd beat Georgia?
