Saw one of the coolest things I've ever seen on the way home from work yesterday

I was headed West on 82 by the catfish ponds between GTR and 45 when I looked to the right and there was a giant bald eagle with a squirrel or weasel in his talons flying right along beside me. He was right at window level which means he was probably about 15 feet off of the ground since the road bed is raised there. I wish I would have had my camera ready.

I know exactly here that is at. I'll be on the lookout from now on there. Here in Hamilton, we have two (Male and Female). I have them on video from this Spring with the male catching a rabbit in the field next door and both having a lunch date eating it together. Majestic Birds!

Not quite as majestic as your story about the eagle, but I was stopped for a red light on a feeder road next to I-10 here in Houston (first car at the light). A number of doves were around the overpass bridge and a power line near the road. A dove flew right in front of me, and then out of nowhere, an explosion of feathers. A red tail hawk totally destroyed the dove, and scared me to death, because I never saw the hawk coming. Very impressive.
