Good news and bad news after this coming Saturday night.

The good news is that we will have another signature win. A true freshman QB is not what you want to dangle in front of Jeffery Simmons and Company. Grantham will undoubtedly gameplan an early horror show for young Jake Fromm. I hope the kid isn't badly injured.

The bad news is that we will be flooded with Mullen departure scenarios like never before. It will be baseless speculation from nitwits like Finebaum, but it will be unending. The irony is that with a win Saturday night, Mullen will be well on the way to the sort of success that the same nitwits say is unattainable in Starkville.

With a win doesn't Mullen become the second winningest coach at MSU?

Winningest is a deceptive term as it refers to total number wins without regard to win PERCENTAGE.

If I coach for 5 seasons and go 51-15 but you coach 9 years with a 58-52 record then you are the "winningest" coach. BUT no one would imagine that you performed better than I did.

AlLyn McKean was 65-19-3. It will take Dan a long time to match that.

Yes, he would tie McKeen at 65 wins.

    Kang has 75 wins

It's almost inevitable that Dan is going to be the coaching leader in wins. Probably by next year. Unless we go undefeated this year.

Let our Bulldogs win this game first and foremost. Next, stop the Mullen montrog. My recollection is when Coach Mullen took this coaching job he told the "powers at be" it would take eight years to get to this program to this point. He is at nine I think and already taken this team to #1. I think he is ready for the long haul and a possible run for the big prize. Also, money needs to be raised to keep Gratham.

That can?t be correct because in 2014 we had 3 in a row, one last year in ATM, and this year in LSU. Hmmm

Unless it's when both teams are ranked.

We weren't ranked this past week, or the first week of those 3 games in 2014.

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

I think the category is games played by two ranked teams.
