Well..... It Looks Like It's Us vs the World
The closer we get to game day, the more confidence people outside of the MSU fan base are showing in LSU.
The line has risen from LSU -6 to now LSU -7.5
Lee Sterling just picked LSU to blow us out.
Jacob Hester last night picked LSU to win by two scores
Brad Edwards wasn't sure if it would be a close game when Bo Bounds talked to him earlier this week.
Looks like we are going to have to step up & play lights out tomorrow night.
Personally, I think our defense will play great, but I'm having trouble figuring out where we will find a play maker on offense. You know LSU will start by shutting down Fitz, which means other guys will have to step up, but I'm just not sure who those other guys are.
The best chance MSU has to win tomorrow night IMO, is if our OL just comes out & pops LSU's DL in the mouth & plays far better than expected. LSU has some injuries on the DL, so this isn't totally out of the question. Just unlikely.

I predict a low scoring defensive battle.
-
Just the way we like it!
Biggest concern for me is special teams....our PATs/FGs and their kick/punt return game.
-
I'm just scared fitz will start slow again and we find ourselves down 2 scores early.
-
Here is how I see it. We won five games last season. I did not come into this season expecting more then 7 or 8 games. If we lose I will be ok. We will still can get to 7 games. We already have two wins. BYU, Umass, KY, A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss are really beatable teams. We don't need the LSU win to get to seven. However on the other hand LSU is expecting to win the SEC. If they lose tomorrow there will be epic melt down. The pressure is on them no us.
-
Ok. I have no idea who Lee Sterling even is, and the other guy is an LSU alum. Their predictions are completely irrelevant.

We seem to get down 2 scores early to them every year.

Lee Sterling is the Vegas handicapper that comes on Bo's show

Bear from Gameday is picking us against the spread. He's a winner 60% of the time. I like our chances. In the words of Dan "I don't think anyone knows what's about to take this field"
-
The Line opened at 6.5 and has moved with public betting. People just see a relatively small line, and then see LSU and MSU names and place a wager.
Sharp money has not come in yet, and it will be interesting to see what the line does tomorrow morning and afternoon. I think it may slide back closer to where it originally opened. Time will tell

We will see if Mullen still hates the screen pass. I don't think we've seen a dozen total in his tenure. This us the game for it imho.
The Liberation will not be televised--- when it arrives like lightning in the skies!

If O is planning on playing a guy that is out of shape and still not 100% after shoulder surgery then he's really worried about this game. This is a big game for him. I guarantee you he's more nervous about this game than Mullen. Mullen is going to pull some head fakes on O that put his limited head coaching experience to the test.

And we always lose.

We've beaten them what? 2 times in like 20 years? I'd pick the too. Especially knowing our OL isn't good and our already poor WR corp is done the most productive receiver so far this year. We aren't going to run it against them. Unless the defense turns them over, it's going to be an uphill fight for us.

I'm not worried about their kick/punt return because of Logan Cooke. I think Logan will be a big factor in our win tomorrow night.
-
Everybody on CBS except one picked us to cover the 6.5, even Sallee, but all but two picked LSU to win. Most picked the under.
-
What a bunch of p***ies! "Our OL is suspect" "we've only beat them twice" " gabe is hurt"
NUT UP
We will win this game.

Lines are set and move strictly to keep an equal amount of money on both sides (the casinos will make their money off parlays and teasers). It is not a prediction of the outcome of the game, it's simply a tool casinos use balance bets and limit large losses for the house.

I'll say this though, Fitz may not be polished and efficient, but he's a tough M'fer and a gamer.
If we can get to the 4th quarter with the 1 score game, I think Fitz will get it done.
People forget that about Fitz because we've blowing people out.
Fitz can ball when the game gets bloody

I know we settled down later and pulled away but.....I'm really worried about the Right side of our OL after watching the LaTech game. I'm afraid LSUs DE will eat our lunch often. You know Dan and staff know this as well and have something schemed to minimize that weakness.
With that said, our defense will show up to play and keep us in the game.
