    So, ED peeps, if we beat LaTech convincingly do we get into the top 25?

    I say yes. It will help hype the LSU game the following week.

    That would depend on who in front of us loses. Just beating La Tech who isn't ranked isn't going to push us up very far if at all unless we beat them like we did CSU.

    Depends on the losses of those currently ranked. We crush LaTech and 4-5 losses in the 15-35 range, we should be around 25th

    Doubtful. But we would probably be knocking on the door and in line for a huge jump if we beat LSU.

    But, as we saw in 2014 - 3 big wins in a row can catapult you up the rankings. They were already hyping our September schedule pregame Saturday as we are the only team in the country facing 3 pre-season ranked teams in September. We run that gauntlet and are sitting 5-0 on October 1 and we will be Top 10.

    This.

    A win at LA Tech (especially with a strong defensive performance and Fitz runs wild) will put us 25 - 30 I think. We don't get ranked before the LSU game. Just don't see it.

    Correct. If we win impressively and several more teams lose we will get an obligatory top 25 just from the AP because it's in their interest to rank us. And there's no downside because if we lose to LSU we fall right back out and the put someone else in. Preseason rankings are fake news.

    You're really gonna be mad when they're pushing top 15 next week after beating Georgia.

    Fwiw, I have no problem with ND being #24. Temple has been a decent team in recent years and ND destroyed them 49-16 (422 yards rushing). Not a great start, Collins
