    Braves

    Pretty abysmal 2nd half... 19-32.

    Here's a few bright spots though:

    Swanson (since call back) = .347/.448/.472, 16.1 bb%, 14.9 k%, 144 wRC+, 0.8 fWAR over 22 games = 5.9 pace over 162 games

    Albies = .287/.355/.463, 9.1 bb%, 15.7 k%, 113 wRC+, 0.8 fWAR over 30 games = 4.9 over 162 games

    I doubt both put that high of a WAR next season, but I definetely see 3 from each

    Newcomb with 9.42 k/9. Pretty impressive... unfortunately the bb rate of 5.33 per 9 is bad. Really need a good pitching coach to work with him bc the stuff is there.

    Teheran seems to be righting the ship some. Last 4 starts (Rockies x2, phillies, and reds)...
    27.0 ip 22 h 7 er 7 bb 27 k

    Really need folty, Teheran, and Newcomb to finish well.

    Fried has his starting debut today vs cubs. Hopefully he does well... we really need starters to emerge.

    Swanson, Albies, FF, inciarte, and acuna are a solid base of position players to build around going into next season

    I'll give scruffy credit. Ever since he came back he is swing the bat more. Before it seemed that he was waiting on a HR pitch. Thats why he was always striking out. Now he is swinging and making more contact. Can't wait to see how Gohara does. I used to talk to him when the baby braves came to play in Biloxi. Used to tell him and Acuna they were going to get to the bigs. Got both his and Acunas sigson the same ball. Congratulated him when Dave O'Brien tweeted he was going on the 40 man roster tuesday. He wasn't told that yet. Got a funny response back when he was told.

    Cool.

    I love gohara. This next wave of pitching (gohara, weigel [assuming he comes back strong], allard, and soroka) could finally produce some MLB pitchers.

    Fried was solid today
