The aftermath of the Ole Miss MOAB

Ole Miss threw their Hail Mary yesterday through Ole Miss mouthpiece Steven Godfrey. Here is its aftermath:

    1. Ole Miss people don't understand that the NCAA has more than just testimony from Leo Lewis. The NCAA has tangible proof and will use it to hammer Ole Miss. The NCAA has the text from Barney's phone from Lawyer 14. They have all kinds of proof of contact between Leo and Lawyer 14. The COI isn't stupid and will uphold the allegations.

    2. Godfrey explained to the world that the NCAA has already investigated Miss State on Leo Lewis. The NCAA was unable to find tangible proof and closed the investigation.

    3. Ole Miss has just gotten absolutely sloppy. Releasing a big article on Friday is dumb. Not to mention, it was just a compilation of OM Spirit message board posts from the last 6 months. The level of desperateness is comical and for people to think that article was a "MOAB" is just sad.

    4. Godfrey showed the NCAA COI Ole Miss doesn't give 2 shits about cooperation or confidentiality.

    5. Ole Miss people don't understand the NCAA simply isn't going to do anything to State regardless of what is found because of Immunity. Punishing State would effectively end it ever being used again, because schools would never cooperate. Leo Lewis being asked to appear before the COI is just a "cover our ass" move by the NCAA and it is going to take away some grounds for appeal by Ole Miss after the crippling sanctions are announced.

    6. Your attempt to scare State people that matter failed miserably. They have been expecting this and have prepared accordingly.

Sept 11th gets closer and closer Rebs. Tick tock, tick tock.

But but I have a receipt from a place I ate at and a business partner who will vouch for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, it's gonna be bad for them. Some of the more sane ones are really starting to accept it. The insane will be complaining and whining for 10+ years. Good entertainment.

That's the biggest cover up, too. It screams cover up. How many people keep fast food receipts from a year ago and then know exactly where it is when the NCAA asks for it? Nope. Not buying it unless he can show a receipt for ever whopper or bigmac he's bought for the last six months.

I'm thinking the more TCUN attempts to try this case in the court of public opinion (while attempting to make the NCAA look inept and biased in the process) is beyond foolish to the point that before the magnitude of the hammer falling would have been a 6 (on a scale of 1 to 10), it will now be an 11.

They've outed the names of SA #39 & #40 forsaking all privacy requirements in this process, used numerous media persons to carry their water while they repeatedly lied to recruits and continued to cheat during the investigation, have failed to own up to ANY of their misdeeds and show remorse or contrition, and have now apparently made available non-redacted NOAs and other documents available to Godfrey so he can continue to push their narrative (the MOAB listed above). Their time is quickly coming to an end and I won't be the least bit surprised if they don't take the field in 2018 when the NCAA is finished with them.

That was the equivalent of a MOAB being sent out by Iceland against the USA.

Godfrey said on PAPN right after the NCAAs allegations broke that OM was either gonna make it way worse for themselves or the NCAA. He was right about the OM strategy, but probably a bit optimistic about their ammo.

Had a reb tell me that the ncaa simply took Leo's word for it and did no background to check things out just because they wanted to get OM. I said you mean like how they took Tunsil's word for it when he said he received money from the coaches. The blank stare on his face will satisfy me for quite some time. Shitbirds.

To play devil's advocate on the receipt deal, the dude did say it was a credit card receipt, which can be easily accessed online at any time. That is still a shaky alibi at best, though. It only shows some credit card associated with his account was used. It could have easily been his wife using his or another card on the account, or someone else from his firm if it was a corporate account.

The complete breached of confidentiality and the arrogance of having reporters writing about it, will do them equally as much harm as any violation. They can not back up the statements of wanting to tell their side of the story. So, they let their mouth pieces in the media paint the narrative for them. NCAA will have their rue.

OM is the kid that needs their butt beat. The NCAA is about to be their 'daddy'. The SEC is about to be their 'Mommy'. Waiting to see both punishment's. TIME TO SPANK THEIR ASS.

Actually this was a bold stroke for the UNM fans:
    1) Most of their fans are clueless and will swallow like Monica Lewinsky
    2) It inoculates them post 9/11 and gives them red meat to bitch about after the NCAA destroys them.
    3) It gives them the US vs NCAA/MSU/The Man consortium to hang their collective hats on
    4) It gives the a perceptive thread of hope that their rival maybe pummeled just like they know they will be.

I was thinking this yesterday. They are going to try to keep people in the stands by making them believe they have been hosed and must do their part to fight the corruption that is the NCAA and MSU

I think even the most ardent OM fans are starting to accept how bad it will be. Their biggest goal now is to do everything they can to try and pull us down the toilet with them so that our program won't leave theirs in the dust competitively. Making sure their "flagship" football program is better than MSU's program is what matters to them most in life anyway. That's why they only go totally nuts with everything when MSU beats them consistently. Happened in the late 90s and it happened again in Mullen's early tenure.

Exactly. They're predictably trying to make this into a MSU did this to us thing. They did the same thing back in the 1990's too. This is all about preparing for the fallout and then giving them a direction to vent.
