The Most Impressive Thing About the Hugh Freeze Era
The more that stuff comes out, the more I am absolutely impressed that Freeze was able to field a semi-competent SEC football team while:
- living an alternate life style than what he portrayed
- hanging with escorts on a regular basis
- calling the Funky's guy about 5 times a day
- apparently, according to David Johnson, hanging out at Funkys at the bar on a regular basis which caused some of his friends question why he was doing that.
- Fishing often, as evidenced by his "Yahtzee" pictures.
- Remaining a scratch golfer, according to some in the know. I mean, that takes at least two round a week at 4 hours per
- Preaching on the weekends at Pinelake & other churches.
- Being a tireless recruiter that apparently spent hours and hours a day recruiting.
I mean, I'm sure this list could even be longer, but that fact that Hugh Freeze was able to field a competent SEC football team with all this going on, has to be one of the finest human achievements I've ever observed. At very least, the guy was one hell of a multi-tasker.
As far as I know, Mullen mostly just does football & maybe a little golf here & there. If he had Hugh Freeze's schedule, I'm not sure we'd win a damn SEC game.

I wonder if any media people like tmz or deadspin are trying to find one of the hookers and pay her 10k for her story. I bet she'd squeal about being made to squeal.

I've been thinking the exact same thing. It's only a matter of time before one of these escorts steps forward to tell their story about Rev. Freeze.

I highly doubt any will step forward. Why you ask? Because they weren't for Bucky. The whores were for recruits, some of which were 17 at the time of recruitment. We need to focus on the 5th amendments when we think about these escorts because they will remain silent for fear of self incrimination. Unless they are given plea deals to uncover a larger problem, this will be crickets forever.

Not to mention that their "profession" is illegal in all states but one. I'm sure they want to remain employed in a business that has a limited lifetime. And I doubt any of them could care less about exposing a football coach.

Feds never have a problem with a little nookie being bought and sold here and there if they can catch a bigger fish with it. But, just where are the Feds? This could be approaching WHERE IS THE CAVALRY LEVELs

I didn't even think about it being illegal. I guess I'm among the mindset that you should ne able to make money doing something completely legal unpaid. You can have se* unpaid legally. Why not make money doing something that's legal?
Just my two cents. I'm also along the mindset than anyone is free to do that which they wish, as long as they don't hinder or impede upon the liberties or safety of someone else.

I honestly don't know what to make of my post. It's actually somewhat impressive

That's some damn fine analysis Shotgun.

You can add all nighters chomping on wood!
I saw the thread title and immediately thought the most impressive thing is: the 278% increase in braces for OM fans teenagers!

How do you think Mars knew what to look for? Only a matter of time.

This is why Freeze and the owner of Funky's were just friends doesn't hold any water. He was simply a cog in the recruiting machine.

I think you're on to something.

Suggests freeze had no action at home. Hell, if I was his wife, I wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole. Probably creepy as hell and a total control freak with his daughters. Wonder how all their new found forced togetherness is working? He just strikes me as the type who has got to be getting it from cheap hookers who he can easily manipulate and degrade. A lot of people dismissed the claims of those briarcrest girls.....not me!! It rang true as shit in these ears.

How many hours a day does it free up if you can't develop or coach players up at all?

If Bucky had a twin brother or doppelganger.... Forget the most interesting man in the world, Freeze laying pipe to hundreds of women, cruiting, preaching, fishing, coaching a joke of a program to their greatest heights and portraying a pious family guy.....that makes him the most interesting man of all times.
