Keeping it simple, burgers that got a nice Tony's rub, then a good bath in lea and Perrin with a touch of makers mark for good measure. Also some sausage fill mushrooms and country pride smoke sausage going all on the grill in about an hour. Drinking 30-A Beach Blonde to warm up.

K-Roger/Columbus finally had some single rack ribs. Got 'em rubbed, wrapped and ready for the 6 hour smoke ride tomorrow. White cans, pint version, while we wait.

My wife makes better homemade chicken and dumplings than either my mother or grandmother. Been sick with the crud all week and she made them for me Tuesday night.

Just me and BD, Jr. tonight, so I threw together some red beans and rice. Tossing back an old fashioned Bud heavy to make the meal complete.

My better half surprised me with a new tailgating toy today so there will be smoke in the air pretty soon. Right now I'm enjoying the crickets and some woodford reserve.

Blackened some ling tonight. With scalloped potatoes, and a wine butter sauce (with capers and chives). Simple and delicious. Started drinking wine, now on to bourbon. Watching the Cowboys.

Here's my Redfish on the half shell on the grill
Main spread (Redfish was on the other counter). Fried speckled trout, fries, hush puppies, and slaw. Everything was homemade by me except fries & hush puppies.
Thread. Winner.

bad ass by beast. need to go with some gluten / wheat free crackers though
I'm going with the crock pot tomorrow. bought a sirloin roast. got me some taters, carrots, onions, and some stir fry frozen veggies. gonna go with tonys , lea and perrins , fresh garlic and such.
gonna throw in some chopped purple cabbage as well. maybe throw in some kale as well. anybody got any other suggestions?

You know, it's funny you say that. My mom is no gluten and my BIL is no dairy. So I did the shrimp and salsa for them with corn torilla chips. I did an olive oil garlic sauce for one of the redfish instead of garlic butter lemon.
My brother is moving to Denver to practice law next week so we did a family fish fry before he left.
