    1st Scrimmage Tonight

    Will ED have eyes & ears on the ground?

    What are you guys wanting to hear?

    Here is what I want to hear:

    - I want no more than 1 missed FG

    - I want to hear about the scrimmage being extremely physical

    - No injuries.

    - I want to hear that that WRs made a few plays, Fitz was careful with the ball, OL held their own, but that the defense dominated. I want the defense to dominate

    Of course, we'll likely never get this much info from the first scrimmage

    This is the worst time of year to me. You know football is here, but there is very little information to grab onto.

    * Aggressive Defense
    * No Turnovers For Fitz
    * Fitz Completing Most Of His Passes
    * WRs Looking Better
    * OL Blocking Better

    More specifically one of the young big receivers or TEs making plays.

    Fitz didn't throw 4 picks like the Spring game.

    Great back and forth battles between a nasty front 7 and an improved OL.

    Secondary always in place to make plays and not giving up busted coverages.

    A RB other than Aeris Williams looking legit.
    Death penalty or bust!!!***

    Scrimmages are tough to evaluate because if one side of the ball does well, does that mean the other side did bad?

    Obviously it will likely end up in between this, but I'd feel better after tonight if the defense dominated & the offense struggled to move the ball vs hearing that the offense scored 50 points & ran up & down the field.

    True, I'd like to hear Kylin Hill made some great plays.

    I know what I am going to hear. O-Line needs work and the defense dominated the offense.

    I don't really care that much about offense versus defense because I feel like people can never tell whether it's one being good versus the other being bad. If I hear anything good about receivers or dbs, I won't know whether an average unit is just beating up on a bad unit. Same with OL v. DL.

    I would like to hear some comparisons of players against known commodities. I'd really like to hear that Reese looks almost as good as Rankin and that Williams or Story look as good or better than Calhoun, and that Jenkins looks comfortable at center. Of if there is a DL/OLB that Rankin can't handle, I think Rankin is established enough that that would be promising info. Hearing DLee or another back looks just as good as Aeres would be promising.

    That's about all I can think of though.

    I want to hear that Fitz is passing the ball like a veteran Tom Brady.

    Pretty much the way it has been since Mullen has been here, but apparently it doesn't concern him too much.

    I doubt Fitz has a great day throwing the ball if his running ability is limited like it was in the spring game and like it should be.

    Hard to be extremely physical and have no injuries. Ain't gonna happen
    Not only did Mississippi State embarrass LSU on this night. Davis Wade Stadium wrecked Tiger Stadium in music choice, atmosphere and, most of all, volume.

    When I'm 80 and deaf, it's not going to be all those Springsteen concerts or Queen at Municipal Auditorium in New Orleans on Halloween Night in 1978, it will be this game...............Glen Guilbeau--Sherveport Times

    I'd be happy if we just made a high % inside the 40.
