That's what I'm thinking. There's no way I'd take the fall if I was calling hookers for recruits, I don't care how much I cared for my (former) employer. As egotistical as Freeze is, I honestly can't see him jumping on UM's grenade.

You would if it meant jail time for you. Destroyed reputation and no coaching career >>>> jail time for soliciting prostitution, across state lines, for minors-type jail time.
om Admin has him in a place where he'll never talk. Sadly, for Hugh, with all the digging that's going on right now by lawyers and the Pat Fordes of the world, the truth will come out

If true his only hope is to cut a deal. Lay it all out, roll over on his superiors ride it out.

What the shitbirds fail to realize in the Rebel Rags lawsuit...old Hugh will be deposed by all three attorneys...and if the filings are any indication of quality of attorneys that are involved...Ole Merkel is going to bent over ...saying thank you sir may I have another.

See I just don't see that working unless it's a long time later. Even without all of this mess he still has all of the NCAA troubles to face. And as far as this new mess, I don't see how he can honestly clear his name. Either he's a sex addict (bad for his religious act- that takes time to recover from and requires some serious contrition) or he willingly participated in real legal problems (not just ncaa legal but call-the-cops legal).
He might could go to the NFL, but I doubt he will ever coach college ball again.

He coaches again at some level. I will be shocked if he doesn't. He could get a job as a JUCO offensive coordinator or position coach in 2018 easily.

I think JUCO will be his only option for a while. Doesn't have the chops to coach NFL, too scandalous for a high school to touch him. Show cause for NCAA. So it's JUCO (or NAIA if they have football programs?).

Coming out and stating the hookers were only for recruits may be Freeze's only way of saving his ass in the upcoming divorce proceedings.

NAIA does have football. Faulkner is just down the road from me.

Good grief - he could get hired there and end up a TV star. That's his path back to fame and the pulpit.
Heaven help us.

Haha pretty confident that coming out and saying, 'No no, I was buying these escorts for recruits and underaged kids, not myself,' will not be a productive way to clear his name.

Highly doubt he was buying them.

I think this angle is interesting. Bjork said that Freeze wasn't getting any buyout money, so that makes it seem like Freeze isn't getting anything from them to "keep quiet."
Combine that with the fact that they released Freeze's phone records before and are now saying they can't release phone records anymore... to me that gives Freeze a perfect opportunity to sue since phone records are what led to him losing his job. And they dropped the ball and should've never released them in the first place?
But with WG Watkins as Freeze's attorney, he ain't gonna want to sue OM, that'd be like Dickie Scruggs representing someone suing OM. You gonna have a lawyer that is one of the biggest boosters the school has suing the school?

I was under the impression that escorts aren't prostitutes and you are paying for companionship and if anything happens past that, it is between 2 consenting parties.**

Yep, say he was forced to perform illegal actions in order to keep his job.
