What OM has to do to get back into the NCAA after the Death Penalty

First off, they're going to have to pretty much blow everything up, starting with the term "Ole Miss". In this PC day and age, millenials aren't going anywhere that offends their sensibilities, and when you have a school named after what slaves called the Plantation Owner's wife, and their mascot is an Army fighting to preserve that institution, most of them (even the kids and grandkids of Ole Miss alums) don't want any part of it. As we're finding out, 4 and 5-star players only went there because of money, hookers, drugs, and/or momma getting an easy job. When all that's taken away, there's no incentive to go there.

    - Totally obliterate the term "Rebels". See above. Whether the War was over States' Rights, or over slavery, or whatever, fact of the matter is, is that 21st Century people look at the Confederate Army as an army of oppression.

    - Also get rid of the "Bears". That's ridiculous...Black Bears are the smallest (and wimpiest) bears in America. Also, the perception is that Bears was a desperate attempt by their administration to distract people from the term Rebels.

    - Go back to the original colors- Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue

No more of usurping America's colors, nor that pale blue.

    - Disassociate, disassociate, disassociate! If what everybody thinks is happening, that hookers were being procured with booster money for underaged recruits, then everybody associated with that needs to go to prison and be permanently revoked from ever giving to the University of Mississippi ever again. When the Athletic department is finally controlled by the Academic Administration, only then do you allow anyone to become a booster...and then only under tight controls and restrictions.

I write this because, contrary to what many think, there are many University of Mississippi fans and alumni who are kind, good, decent people, and their school is being run into the ground. Maybe by following these rules, we can allow the University of Mississippi back into the society of decent people.

    Bad burrito last night.

    I kid somewhat.

I know many, many bearshark fans and most are pretty decent....but never doubt they (most, not all) think that their group as a group is better than our group.

As long as they, as a group, think as they think they will always try and bend, make up, avoid the rules. If their program is insignificant for 10-15 years that attitude might change. Might.
