Not much cooking for me this weekend. [Booster B] will be providing hundreds of dollars in dorm room merchandise for [Band Student B] in anticipation of providing [XXX] miles of transportation for [Band Student B] from [Location B] to Starkville, MS on August 4, 2017 to begin Band Camp for [Band Student B]'s Freshman year.

[Friend 39] bootlegged $20 worth of New Glarus Spotted Cow and Moon Man from [Third Part Business 39] located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin so I plan to work my way through them. Probably will eat cheaply since providing [Spouse 39] a debit card to travel 200 miles to Starkville to move [Student 39] and [Student 40] into separate apartments.

This is shaping up as one of (if not) the greatest food threads so far this year!!!

No cooking for me tonight, but keep the redactions coming while I sip on some Sweet Water and try to get some impermissible benefits from [Spouse 1] later this evening...

Myself and [offspring #1] just got home from an evening marsh cruise. He even let me do a little casting. Enjoying a colorful sunset on the porch now with a Bell's Smitten Pale Ale. Not bad at all.

Weather was crap to attempt to fish but we did drink some white cans. Had some place called Woody's for lunch. Was pretty damn good for bar type food

Ok, finally got all the photos off my phone.

So, for our anniversary dinner we went to Aquavit, a 2 star Michelin restaurant in Manhattan that specializes in Nordic cuisine. We both had the chef's tasting menu. It was.....Uh.Maze.ING....Easily one of the most memorable dining experiences we've ever had. Food was excellent, and the service was impeccable.

    Here's the menu we had....

Below are each dish....but beware....Parental Advisory [X'rated Food Porn]

    Tomato consome with chamomile

    Pancake with porkbelly

    Caviar course

Venison tartar...so the tartar is under a disk made of truffles and potato, which when broken, released charred hay smoke...pretty neat (and delicious).

    King crab

Foie Gras and peaches....so the peaches are roasted, and the foie is freeze dried with liquid nitrogen and sprinkled all around. This was almost dessert-like.

    Salted herring

Halibut....probably my favorite of the savory dishes

    To be continued...

    Continued...

    Kombucha

    Veal sweetbreads with morel mushrooms

Sausage and fermented cabbage. A delicious little bite.

Dry aged wagyu beef....does it need a description, lol?

Apricot and lavender cheese....really really good.

Pine and dark chocolate. The first dessert course. I forgot to take a picture before we both took a bite, lol.

Arctic birds nest...this is Aquavit's iconic dessert course, and it was ****ing stupid good.

That wasn't it though. A friend of mine is a pastry chef at Aquavit (he's a State alum, actually), and he sent us out 3 extra desserts....they were delicious, but we were too damn full to really appreciate them, lol.

I'm going to grill some salmon. Going to have some brown rice and spinach. I'll probably put it all on one plate :-)

Smoked Gouda with bacon, bellivatano Rum runner, bellavatano vinaigrette. Got some pepperoni too. That Rum runner is the tits. Stick is a sindicato sabor evolucionado.
