    Fabian Franklin is a dawg!

Per his twitter, Fabian Franklin has committed to the good guys.

That's a commit out of nowhere. Didn't seem like we were on his radar at all.

    Huge pickup! Hail state!

Kid is the top running back in the state. My guess is that we were only taking one until he said he wanted to come.

To hell with only taking one. If good players want to attend your school, then you work it out.

That's what Saban does. You tell a JR or SR that isn't contributing to hit the road & open up a spot

I agree 100%!! The nature of the game has changed. If a kid gets here and he isn't willing to work then he will have to be shown the door.

By the way, as a 24 year educator, it is entirely to early for us to say, " sign and place." He still has a chance to qualify. This will be a big year for him.

I hope you don't educate kids on grammar.

If we only take one this cycle, Franklin is the one to get. Not sure what this means for the others.

We'll make an exception in this case and take 2 RB's, if their names are Ladamian Webb and Fabian Franklin.

Franklin could be a sign & place. Worth the risk. If he makes it you make the #'s work.

Not like we're strapped for scholarships, either. Let's hope he qualifies!

Good news is we can place him at Co-lin instead of him going to Jones.

Just watched the hudl film, & this guy is a good player.

I hadn't watched much of him in the past because I didn't think we'd factor in for him.

That being said, he runs bigger than his 5'11" 200 lb frame.

Reminds me of Kerryon Johnson at Auburn. He's only rated a 3 star by 247, but IMO he looks like a 91-92 rated type guy that has a nice combination of size & agility. Has some similarities to Aeris Williams as well. Looks to have a slightly better burst than Aeris & maybe a little more agility, but I have no clue if he has Aeris' vision & natural ability to fall forward on every run. Those two factors to me are Aeris' biggest strength & they can't be seen on a highlight video. They are seen on a low light video where a player gets 3 yards on a broken play & moves the chains.

Gotta love getting a surprise commit from the top RB in the state who holds offers from Bama, Georgia, Tennessee and Michigan as a RB.

Just my personal opinion after watching his video. He is really good, but LSU has access to the best running backs in the country & he falls just below that.

More of a 91-93 type talent rather than the 95+ LSU typically signs.
