And I wonder what Mr. Kongbo's SA# is. Hell, there's like 49 of them he's gotta be one.

If you can trace the calls to a number is there a way to trac the other call that were revived by that particular number? Are there records?

Yes. The question is whether you can determine who was using the burner phone. You may not be able to identify who's using the burner phone, but if Hugh is calling the burner, and Barney is calling the burner, and a recruit is calling the burner - those records exist and a subpoena could get them.

Good find. However, I was disappointed that it wasn't a hooker.

Honestly speaking, I don't think much comes of this. First off, the stuff they already have on Freeze / OM is way worse than anything burner phone related. Secondly, even if its proven to be a burner phone belonging to Kongbo, there is no proof that OM provided it to him, and no proof of what communication transpired over said phone unless Kongbo testified to the NCAA about it. That being said, the worst they could pop OM for here is communicating during the dead period or something like that, which is extremely tame compared to what they are already facing.

It's very difficult with burner phones for a multitude of reasons. Depends on the SP, where it was purchased, how you load the minutes, the local towers, etc. you would almost need a counter terrorism expert to figure it all out...

I think proof of OM using burner phones in recruiting would be a bigger deal than discovering Freeze contacted another hooker.

The questions about burner phones should be asked to BF and ML..... BF probably has the paperwork on the phone numbers and who had them....

Does Mars have a burner phone from a croot and he's tracking numbers down? And I guess if you get the number of the coach and the service info then call records from the carrier can be obtained. Maybe the coach's burner shows he was making escort calls too.

I guess that Mars's strategy here is too prove how shady hugh is to prove that the statements made about Nutt to the media were factually inaccurate?

He's pointing out who was recruiting Longbo.

"Hmmmm" would maybe work better than "HUH"

I don't think that will be an issue...😄

Along with Robertson's help, Mars also enlisted the services of Fred Burton, a longtime counterterrorism agent with the U.S. Department of State. Burton, whom Mars has known since the second grade, was involved in several high-profile investigations, including the capture of World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef and the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. When asked about what Burton did to help in the Nutt case, Mars declined to provide specifics.

From an NCAA standpoint, you'd be right (unless the hooker or hookers were linked to both Freeze and recruits).

However, it's still not a bigger deal than what is already out there. Freeze has already been nailed with a booster with him in his home with recruits. That's show cause material already, and far more of a damnable offense than the burner phones. The burner phone looks suspicious, but it doesn't change the overall outlook that much. Plus, it will likely never be proven unless Kongbo talks. We've reached a point of diminishing returns with this investigation. Coaches coordinating a prostitution ring is pretty much the only way it is going to get worse than it already is.
