Yeah, the comments to the author aren't kind. Not surprising.

    A few thoughts:

    1. There is a reason Hugh Freeze has not made any comments or apologies yet...... because everything he'll have to apologize for or comment on isn't out yet.

    2. One of the underlying comedies here & something that goes along with this article is that OM fans continue to throw out new coach's names that would allow them to continue to cheat & bring the NCAA back to town.

List of Coaching Hires OM could make that bring the NCAA back to campus:

    1. Lane Kiffin -He's a scalp the NCAA wants
    2. Frank Wilson - Worked under Orgeron at OM. Basically Freeze 2.0
    3. Art Briles - Ain't happening
    4. Matt Luke - Mentioned in NOA multiple times

Either commit to building a program the right way or GTFO

Ole Miss is an average program on the landscape of college football. That may be a hard pill for Rebels fans to swallow, but if they would acknowledge that fact instead of fantasizing about the notion they belong in the national conversation year in and year out, everyone in Oxford would be better off for it.
    OUCH!

That article is spot on. It is also some advice that we need to heed as well. Luckily we have strong leadership in place in Keenum, Cohen and our coaching staffs (through all sports). I think the biggest lessons we have learned over the past 25 years are: 1) We can compete when we have good coaching and good kids; 2)Building patiently and "staying in our lane" in the hierarchy doesn't mean we have to suck and endure 2-10 seasons; and 3)By Building patiently and "staying in our lane" in the hierarchy we can even occasionally compete for National Titles with good coaching and good kids. It all builds on itself, and there are no shortcuts. Only by nuking the entire athletic program will Ole Miss ever get that message.

I thought Chip Kelly was sitting by the phone praying that mighty OM would give him a call?

Insert Miss State and you have our fan base. Most of us have accepted this for our program.

Ole Miss (Miss State) and its fans should (have) aspire to being a team which annually attends bowl games with occasional runs at the SEC West title, having the confidence in knowing that their program is doing so in a reputable way.

I'm proud to say that State is building our program the right way. Gradually if we keep our coaching consistent and continue to produce guys like Fletcher Cox and Dak Prescott eventually we will raise our national profile and have a better chance at making a run. But it will be a LONG time before we can expect Bama results consistently. I can find enjoyment in 9-4 and 10-3.

The first comment is textbook OM. Misunderstand, get mad, throw blame, accuse the author of saying something he didn't say, all in an arrogant fit of missing the damn point. Perfect.
