This is very, very bad for them. Deadspin is not full of journalists who follow the 'rules of journalism.' They will absolutely pay to get information if they feel it's worth it. They are basically TMZ for sports, and if they're on you, it's pretty likely they're at least going to find something, and they're not going to stop until they have something pretty juicy.
