    Today's Boneyard

Rosebowl say Nutt's legal representation has requested Hugh Freeze's cell phone records since when he first took the OM job in 2012.

Additionally, Nutt's legal team has hired a counter terriosim, investigative expert.

    Houston bout to get PAYED!

It seems Ole Nutt is looking for his Golden Parachute and if he doesn't find it then he is burning it all down like Sherman's march to the sea.

Yup. He has OM between a rock and a hard place.

The OM NCAA issues offer Houston leverage in a blackmail situation with the phone records being the naked pics.

Nutt isn't looking to get paid. He's looking to protect what little of a legacy he has left. By exposing Freeze as the biggest cheater in the history of college football he will negate the stain on his name to a footnote when the final saga is printed.

I don't think they can buy this one back. It's about damn time Ole Miss runs into someone they can't buy.

Has the NCAA not already been through these records? They just went through a 5 year investigation through that program. You would think that they have already been through this stuff.

Not sure the NCAA can ask for those records. MS FOI's would have to be requested by a state of MS resident....

Why can't the NCAA ask for phone records? They penalize programs all the time for coaches having impermissible communications with recruits during dead period, it's a secondary violation but the NCAA has to review the phone records all the same. If the NCAA asks for records during an investigation, the school has to comply.

Actually anyone can request Mississippi public records. Not just MS residents.

The NCAA has absolutely reviewed the records. Absolutely zero chance that hasn't happened.

Nutt hired a very good attorney.

    Very good.

I think it's highly unlikely that the NCAA asks Ole Miss for university cell phone records and they tell them no. Maybe I'm wrong. We are talking about OM here.

NCAA isn't involved in the Nutt lawsuit, I wouldn't think. I think it's a separate issue altogether. Nutt's atty can very much ask for phone records & has every right to receive them.

I'm sure they are not. That's not my point. My point is that the NCAA has done a 5 year investigation on Ole Miss and if there was anything in those phone records you would think that the NCAA would have already found it as it pertains to something that any of us would care about.

The NCAA checked the phone records for recruit's numbers. Nothing more. They didn't care about him calling High Cotton or whomever else. Didn't pertain to their investigation

If he called an escort service they would certainly care about that. He would have a lot of explaining to do to them about why he called them and prove it was not for recruits.

Looks like Hugh's "four-year colonoscopy" just found his tonsils.

And let it be said, this isn't Rosebowl's fault, Mullen's fault, SPEDS fault, or the NCAA's fault.

The entire cause of the Nutt lawsuit is on the leaders at OM

If they would've handled this with more grace and accountability, the law suit would not exist.

Random Poster -- ??? Has anyone said if OM redact all the other calls except between recruits... which weren't many since the "burner" phones were used. If they did redact all other calls -- this will get very interesting.... I sure hope to see ALL the phone records of ALL the coaches present and those terminated......

How many have sent request the phone records???
