The evolving Steve Robertson
For a couple years now, Ole Miss folk told us Steve was an idiot. They said he's constantly wrong. They said he sells scout members lies to keep the fan base riled up.
But now, Steve is a devious conspirator that put together a master plan to smear Freeze. https://twitter.com/yancyporter/stat...11452489535488
Maybe next year, he'll be the Easter bunny.
-
Funny that they claimed that about Steve when their own guy has literally admitted doing that exact thing.
Also, Yancy replies to himself on twitter. Lulz
-
Speaking of this yancy. Is that even a real person or is this some fake Twitter that rev freeze dreamed up with his public phone? I wonder because he's had the same fairy looking picture up on it forever. Seriously how could anyone show his face in public with the crap he writes ? Unless it's all fun and games behind the scenes.
-
If Steve was so wrong about everything, they wouldn't even pay attention to him. Nothing speaks to his high rate of being exactly correct moreso than their obsession with him.
-
You'd think Yancy would give up his jousting with Steve. He gets knocked on his ass with every truth that gets revealed.
I guess when you have no honor, and no credibility, you really have nothing to lose.
-
Yancy has zero connections, zero influence, and zero integrity. Steve has consistently told the truth or at least in the realm of truth since Steve went on the record about overcoming his past. Yancy is pretty much worthless, except for reporting on recruiting, which he also admit to lying about when it suits UM.

I'm tired of hearing about Steve. The fact that he now has an in for the UM cheating situation doesn't make up for the fact he has been incredibly lazy covering MSU for the last 10 years and his need to break the news first, hurts kids wanting their 15 minutes of fame. After this is over and UM football is destroyed for a decade, he will go back to being the lazy bum he always was. I really don't get the hero worship for this guy.

Agree with Bobcat, but he is the furthest thing from a bear. Anyone on the boards for years know that.

Steve has become a legend for how he has handled everything regarding Old Misses NCAA troubles the last year. Idc if he drooled on his shirt all day for 30 years straight before.

I understand your dislike of SR being a hero to some, but who else would you recommend to help exposing UNM? The state newspaper wouldn't even do any homework on the matter???

The national media wanted nothing to do with this mess also....

Make no mistake Rosebowl is all about Rosebowl first and foremost. I think part of the reason he is going so hard after Ole Miss is because he was getting a lot of criticism for the DeVinner case and things like the Brandon Bryant situation like you are referring to. Genespage was losing a lot of money and membership to 247 sports because of it. The interesting thing is if I remember correctly part of the 247/Genespage rift was over the DeVinner situation. But now I guess 247 gets the last laugh since they are going to be merging with scout and 247 is taking over the scout website.
So, I guess Paul, Robbie, Gene, Rosebowl and Murray will all be working together or at least for the same company.
But at the same time Rosebowl has been burned by Yancy before- like the Army AA debacle and I do think that was done intentionally to hurt Rosebowl and embarrass him. So, I do think Rosebowl has an ax to grind with them too.
As for me, if Rosebowl wants to hurt Ole Miss and write a book about it, that's fine with me.

GP didn't lose subscribers. They've grown every year. PJ won't have anything to do with them. Paul works for 24/7, Gene owns GP.

So, will they be two separate MSU web sites on the CBS sports platform because Genespage is going over to CBS and Paul is making it sound like a merger to me at least?

That whole group used every trick in the book to burn Steve and Gene. Heck, they burned one or both of them pretty much every year, apparently for fun. It was predictable and painful to watch. So, yeah, he has a nasty ax to grind there.
The funniest thing about all of this is that now that it actually matters, he hasn't been biting on any of their planted leads and other attempts to hurt his credibility on the NCAA investigation. As much as they hate him, the OM fanboys know Steve's been a far more reliable source than their own freaking writers. David's been a deer stuck in headlights. Chuck sticks his foot in his mouth and doesn't appear smart enough to realize it, and Yancy's resorted to spewing delusional rants like some crackhead on COPs. Whatever you think of Steve, it's been pretty entertaining to watch as it's unfolded.

That's what is so disturbing about the Ole Miss writers- they are so malicious. When you're getting off on flipping a kid on Christmas you should probably take a long look in the mirror.

as far as i am concerned, ROSEBOWL doesn't have to report another damn story for the rest of his career! he has gone where NO OTHER has gone in the history of MSU. too many chicken-shits! meanwhile, there are generations who have waited for these lying cheating bastards to get caught in a web of their own weaving. it's here now an one guy withstood the heat and reported the facts....i've got 2 "ROSEBOWL Was Right!" t-shirts and have given a coupla others away as gifts. what this arrogant group of bear boosters and coaches did will be a generational-fail for the Bears....meaning that very soon now, old times there WILL BE forgotten!
really looking forward to the night they burn ol' dixie down.....😆😆😆
i agree....i think bobcat is worthy of a bear-alert too
