Excellent post. I guess preceding this (or occurring alongside early) was OM losing influence in the IHL. As I remember it, the IHL successfully blocked MSU from hiring Dr. Keenum earlier, forcing us to have an interim for a year and a half (or no MSU President for a while), then getting Foglesong. Years later after MSU's first attempt to hire Dr. Keenum were we able to finally bring him aboard.
