He still had a scholly and opportunity to return but obviously walked away for an opportunity to get at bats daily. Playing everyday in summer all so my guess would be the arm is not an issue.
Then that was obviously speculation probably since we had him pitching. By going JUCO he can also possibly go pro next year with a good year.

What happened to Barton? He carried a sub-4 ERA into the AUB series and kind of fell apart from there. It's not like he threw a lot of innings. He still ended up with better SEC stats than Jolly.
