I have Verizon and coverage is excellent when I go down for ball games. So I'd say yes, keep Verizon.

Verizon works great, even on game day. ATT is useless on game day.

Another vote for Verizon.... It even works out in the sticks, where I dwell... whiskey stills and metal "housing" also seem to have no effect on service....

There's a 20 mile or so stretch between Hamilton and Sulligent, and maybe even to Vernon, where there's no signal at all on Verizon. I used to have AT&T and Cingular (same thing), and I can't remember how it was then but it's a different world now as far as cell coverage goes. I guess that area is so unpopulated that Verizon figures they don't need to be there.

I don't often venture into Lamar Co... I stay around N. Pickens Co., at all costs....

My (excellent) service may be due to my close proximity to Hwy 82...

What about Sprint? They've made huge improvement's to their network over the last 2-3 years nationally. I've been thinking about switching to them due to incredible rates and promotions but curious about Starkville coverage.

In Mississippi Starkvegas has good coverage but you can use his CSpire phone to map the state line.

Sorry...... don't know anyone with Sprint in the rural Mississippi areas. Larger towns/cities like Birmingham, yes....

Since January a company named Cricket has appeared.... In Starkville.
