    MSU Baseball Notes

    Rotation is:

    Fri- Small
    Sat- Ginn
    Sun- Keegan

    No surprises there.

Only spot up for grabs is second base- probably between Halter and Landon Jordan and DH. Not surprising here either.

Skelton will start at catcher and Hayden Jones will be the top back-up.

Interesting caveat I learned today- guys that are redshirting that aren't on the 35 man roster can now replace a player that has been injured. That would have been nice two years ago. It might help us keep guys like a Luke Reynolds around going forward.

I know what you mean , but LR should?ve been on the team regardless.

It's a dead horse now. I do see where Cohen was coming from by picking a player that was better in terms of speed and defense given the roster at that time and what the skills of the players were at that time. Most appear to disagree and that's fine.

At the end of the day the REAL issue here is how the roster limits affect college baseball teams like MSU negatively at times because if the limit was 40 or even 36 or unlimited like before- these decisions don't have to be made an then everyone is happy.
