Athlon picks MSU in a three way tie for 4th in the west

Predicted to finish 7-5 (3-5). They also predict the plantation that time forgot to finish 5-7 (1-7) and dead last in the west.

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

I think 7-5/8-4 is about right for us......and even though it delights me to see the Black Bears picked to go 5-7, I think they will do better than that. That offense will be really good. They may have to score 40+ per game, but they'll win some shoot outs. I could see them winning 6 or 7 by beating the 4 OOC teams, Vandy, and Kentucky. Arkansas could be their win #7

I think that cal, bama, and auburn 3-game road trip could break them.

@Cal will be tough. Traveling cross country to play a power 5 team on the road that will be fired up and ready for you is already difficult enough but when your defense is terrible and cannot stop a good HS team, you are going to lose. Probably get blown out.

Remember our last trip out West??? I was there. Never a game. Expect similar for the Rebs

Don't forget that every game will be a bowl game for them...which means it's inconsequential and their players will get a lot of free stuff.

No. This team is in total chaos, turmoil, and has no leadership. Last year prior to the vandy game, unm learned of their eventual fate. This was the same team that had Bammer and FL State on the ropes early in the season. A team that started the way they did only to finish like they did proves this. They will be worse come September. Coaches knowing their careers are 17d and players contemplating transfer options.

After the Alabama, Auburn, Vandy, LSU stretch, 3 of 4, maybe 4 of 4 losses this team will quit.

Pretty much what I expect. 6-6 is probably the floor with 8-4 the ceiling. To be better than 8-4, Grantham will probably need a 1999 level defense. I think the defense will end up around top half of the SEC 6th or 7th but not sure our offense will be good enough to win more than 8.
