Just boudan and beer tonight. Tomorrow night's menu includes shrimp on the grill, pattypan squash on the grill with a chorizo vinaigrette, wax beans on the grill, baked potatoes, and appropriate libations.

Love that. I do some of my best cheffing when riding solo. Cook what I want and on my own pace. Tend to break out a huge boy wine from the stash so I don't have to share it.

City Bagel Breakfast started the day. Think it's gonna be a ribeye and baked potato with some Weller antique for the game tonight.

Smoked pork loin with maybe some nachos. Pork loin low and slow with mesquite. People are afraid of mesquite, but they shouldn't be. It's a robust and flavorful smoke that has to be managed is all. I hope the dogs eat corn dogs later.

Getting into some blue moon and Abita here shortly. Fat strip and grilled lobster and a salad with wine for dinner. Be done with all the eating by 7:30. Time to get right.

Put this on the smoker at about 9am. Using the electric smoker rather than BGE today

Recently switched to a master built 30 inch electric after years of smoking on an offset. Never used the electric before. Testing the waters. Love it so far.

I really only use it for big cuts of meat like pork butt and brisket. Smokin Tex brand. Ive found the way mine burns the wood leaves too bitter a taste. I use the BGE for ribs, chicken, loin etc
