I screwed up some perfectly good pork chops, over cooked them. It's been that kind of weekend all around.

Had some grilled oysters and royal reds at the Half Shell in Hattiesburg with some Suzy B. Wasn't enough beer to deal with this baseball shit show so I'm working on some Crowd Control now.

267lbs of select crawfish in centerfield. We were planning on an after-party tonight but we started at 1 today. By the 4th inning we were done. No funeral in the lounge at this spot. Just a bunch of ditch lobster eating S.O.B.'s.

Last night was chicken, deer suasage, corn & stuffed jalape?os. Natchez brewing OldCapital IPA. The game last night killed the fun and sent me to the old charter.

Crawfish and Bell's Two Hearted tonight.

I tried a new recipe tonight: Thomas Keller's leek bread pudding. I added some pancetta (because ya gotta have pork), but otherwise, I followed the recipe.

It was pretty damn good. Definitely recommend.

We had a side of butter beans roasted with garlic and thyme. Tonight I'm drinking bourbon.
