South Alabama Baseball Game thread

I would have hit for Bragg. Just like he yanked Poole for not running after striking out on dirtball. Bragg just straight whiffed on a bounced throw on a steal and never attempted to get in front of the ball.

Bragg got benched in a game right before SEC play after coming in late, just like today. Seems like he took his time on a throw to first allowing the runner To beat out the throw and straight up made a throwing error in the same inning. McQuarey pinch hit for him the next inning.

Quite simply Cann gave up on the game when we were down 2 runs.. it is what it is.. but that sucks...

I view it differently. Have to see if guys can perform when given the opportunity. If not they can't be expected to be used in the wkds. These are sec baseball players so they need to be expected to do something when given the chance. If not maybe they don't need to be here. But you don't really know until you put them in a game. And that can't happen on the wkds unless it's a blowout which we don't play any.

I get your point and at first agreed. then I remembered the score. We needed to get our offense going for this weekend not plug and play other pieces.
But we can agree to disagree. Cann is the coach and he is doing damn good.

I admit I've wanted him to have more chances thinking (maybe hoping) that the previous time he got pulled was just a one-off. I was listening to the radio tonight so I was unaware of what he did today, but I'm changing my stance on him if that kind of effort is a consistent thing with him.

Agree 100%. Truth is, 39 games is not a huge sample size in baseball. Hopefully we can keep beating the odds.
