Burgers and deer sausage on the grill

Got some tilefish from Wegmans today; never had it, so I decided to get fancy.
So we've got a parsnip puree, with pesto. Next to the fish are roasted broccoli florets. Surrounding the plate are carrots, broccoli stem (which I quick pickled), and cilantro leaves. On top of the fish is a "pomme maxim" (a fancy French term for a layered potato chip). It was pretty good. Tonight I've been drinking gin and tonics, but I may switch to single malt after this glass....

Prime strip and homemade fried rice. First time and it was outstanding if I must say.
Great sports day for us. Men and women roll and we get a big baseball win. (Footnote to C34)

I had a gastric sleeve on January 24. The good- Lost 74 pounds since I went on a Liquid diet January 3.
The bad- only started eating non-pureed food yesterday (including baby food). Reading this thread is real food porn.

Move to Thursday night stogies. This one was a Padron 2000, and a dang nice choice. I had my local shop, the Humidor in HSV, send over a 10 pack sampler of full bodied robustos. Washed down with two O'Doul's premium, non-alcoholic malt beverages.
Best post in a year... or ever.

Awesome! This makes me happy, Sap. Enjoy the stogie, bud.

I had to look up what a tilefish was. Where do you find them and what would you compare it to?

I had never heard of it, either, they just happened to have it at my favorite grocery store. The fish guy compared it to grouper, but I thought it was more like swordfish. White fleshed, flaky, but firm.

Co-worker is retiring after 25+ years on Tuesday, I just finished preparing 10(100lbs) of butts to smoke for the retirement party at work Tuesday. Sat down and opened ED for the first time today and saw this thread. I will post some pictures tomorrow when I put them on the egg. Also got a case of beer in the cooler and to help with the all nighter tomorrow I've got a 33lb sack of crawfish and a bloody mary bar setup. I'll get some pictures tomorrow if I don't get too deep in the crawfish and cooler!

Guys thats what I'm talking about. If we could get more of y'all posting over to Outdoor Dawgs about what you are cooking that would be great.
Yeah we all come here for great sports discussion, but I'd love to encourage other topics too. We have too many good cooks and outdoors people who could share their experiences and creations.
