MSU Football Helmet Research
Saw this in the ads and thought it was cool. As part of the "we ring true" ad campaign, State highlighted the university's R&D on football helmets. They're using Rams and Woodpeckers to help better understand how to stop concussions. Pretty cool.
It's an ad well worth clicking.

These studies on helmets were going on in 2005. My buddy who had many concussions had to get one.

That is very interesting.
That said, my guess is that the conclusion from researching rams and woodpeckers will be, 'Yeah, they're just different than us.'

Hope the helmets are maroon, not white.

The professor spearheading that research, Mark Horstemeyer, is a mechanical engineering professor and head over CAVS. He's completely brilliant and a really nice guy as well.
