Update on the Leo Lewis supposed recording by Ole Miss

    From Birmingham:

"It doesn't matter what Ole Miss has a recording of. The NCAA can't give credence to that or every school in the country is going to start recording everything to send in on other schools. It would lead to extreme chaos and the NCAA is not going to allow that to happen. State has zero to worry about"

All Ole Mess needs to do is look up the meaning of "Immunity" Maybe they would understand their fate a little more.

It's the ultimate irony that the "recording" never had a chance of hurting us, as they intended it to, but it's already hurting them and could continue to long after the direct effects of their sanctions will. It could be 10-15 years before they're generally trusted by prospects without natural ties again.

There is no recording. Those idiots would not have sat on any incriminating evidence of any kind that would harm State. It is a fabricated story to prove, in their delusional minds, the witch hunt cry they've been screaming this whole time.

I too question whether any recording exists.

Even better if it doesn't; they'll have already had one prospect eliminate them from his recruitment and established the idea that "Ole Miss records their recruits" over a nonexistent recording. All of their own doing.

Didn't the Sovereignty Commission tape Civil Rights workers phone calls in the 1960's?

They started this the week of the EB. They have nothing. If they did they would have leaked it by now. I call bullshit

Rosebowl seems to believe there is a recording but it's not nearly what it seems to be and that nothing will come of it.

I've heard the recording puts LSU in a lot more negative light than it does us.

A bit off topic, but were all prospects mentioned in the NOA given immunity? We already know that two of them mentioned are current or former rebels. So either OM played ineligible players, they will have players suspended for next season, or they were given immunity for their truthful testimony.

Reported that at least one OM current player REFUSED to talk to the NCAA along with the parent.
At least 2 recruit prospects talked to NCAA... reported that a total of 8 different universities were visited..... and not all
    in the SEC....

NCAA doesn't have to abide by the 5th amendment... player who wouldn't talk better nothing about him came up elsewhere.
