2018 Recruiting Thread

Buzz kill. I guess we'll take an extra 2nd off the qb's time in the pocket to compensate for our suckage in the 2ndary by having baddasses on the DL.

Yeah, regardless of who we sign at this point, we have 4 corners going into next season. I would rank them:

1. Jamal Peters
2. Cam Dantler
3. Tyler Williams-redshirt freshman
4. Chris Rayford

We need these guys to raise their games in the spring and the offseason. Then you have a couple of guys like Cole, Marcus Muprhy, and Landrews who may can compete at corner.

Harris is a safety in a corner's frame.

I've only heard that from message board posters, but I hope it's true. I think he was in line to take over for JT Gray if Grantham was still here. I've always looked at him as a safety. He is an aggressive hitter.

The playing time narrative is bullshit. Let’s just put that to rest.
If that’s the case , they are signing like 7 DL . We graduate and lose prob 5 guys so all the 2019 DL in the State sign here in 2019 playing time.

I have no clue. It’s the beautiful campus it’s why they get all the guys there.

Just chill and and enjoy what we have. Remeber their head coach is Matt Luke. It’s all good.

With Elliss looking likely to make it this summer I'm not sure I offer another DL this class. I'm already selling Moore, Pickering, Russell, Harris, & Handy on playing as true freshmen in 2019.

Agree. There's not another quality DT to go after this year. We need to be all over those guys you mentioned.

Exactly, this has to do with guys that we are NOT signing that have been committed to us for months and now having to find replacements. We all know that overall the Bear class is not SEC quality even with a couple of flips. I agree that if we get Ellis in then that takes away a lot of the sting of losing Lovett and Williams.
