    Fishing the Shakey Head

    https://www.yak-tribe.com/shakey-head/

This article about has me sold to use this method often this spring. Never really done this before. Any of the bass dawgs want to add anything to this?

Not really except it's used more in the summer.

It's a productive technique, and I have a box full of them, but I don't throw them much. I'm basically a power (crankbait) fisherman, and I can't stand to throw a spinning rod, even though I have a few. They normally just ride around in my boat.

I have one baitcast rig set up with 10 lb line and a 1/4 oz shakey that I will use occasionally, if I'm fishing for spots, and the crank or texas rig bite slows.

I have some custom shaky head jigs, but probably the best commercial ones I've used are the spot removers and whack-um's. You want the kind that will stand up straight.

If you are going the light route, I'd suggest the drop shot over a shaky.

I pretty much echo verbatim what Barking 13 said. It's a great tool when the bite is really tough. Great with a Senko too although a finesse worm is more traditional. If you have to chunk a fairy wand I would probably rather do it with a drop shot though. Ugh.
