Programs with top facilities as ranked by elite football recruits
We're tied at #13 with TCU, Mich St, Arizona, Auburn and FSU. To nobody's surprise, Texas A&M, Georgia, UT and Bama rank ahead of us with Bama at #1. The biggest surprise on the list is Iowa at #11.

No reason not to consistantly have Top20 classes
Either our coaches undersell or under work....

Let me see if I have this correct...
#13 Facilities
Top 15 paid head coach
but should not expect top 20 recruiting?
Please explain.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to BeardoMSU again.

Where is Starkville ranked since that seems to be the #1 detractor every other coach uses against us? You could put the most phenomenal facilities ever invented in Las Cruces, New Mexico and New Mexico State isn't gonna start getting top ten recruiting classes anytime soon.

Haha, valid question, but Starkville is far from that, wouldn't you say? Starkville is a perfectly acceptable, quaint, college town. Period. The problem is much of the sports media still pipes the narrative from the 1970's that Starkville is a shit hole with nothing to do. Many things have changed over the years.

Share a tiny state with an SEC rival that cheats their asses off, and 88 miles down the road is the best program ever, and their neighbor is the other biggest cheating program in the country. We're also the poorest school in the conference with historically the worst record.
We are doing fine, actually, all things considered.
Still not happy about our recruiting though.

Look a little more realistically. We, along with the others ranked 13, only got 1 vote. Without that vote we'd be tied for last place. ** Alabama got 17.

I love Starkville. Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't change much about it except the name if I could but everybody shits all over it and it has a big effect on landing the type of players it takes to have a top 15 recruiting class every year.

The heck do our facilities have to do with our history?

I do not debate anything you say, but our in state neighbors should no longer be a factor in the near future, and we can't capitalize.

You ever been to Las Cruces? It's actually a pretty nice town and in a beautiful state.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...
I've been to every SEC town and campus minus Texas A&M which I am planning on changing this fall. There isn't very much difference between Starkville, Oxford, Tuscaloosa, Auburn, Gainesville (worst in the SEC IMO) and Columbia, Mo and if I had to choose between the five of those, I would probably pick Starkville because most of the things to do in Starkville are newer than those other towns- and to me that's really the main difference between Starkville and the others which is how much Starkville has grown and continues to grow as a town. All of the rest are about the same. I do think that Athens and Fayetteville are one and two among the "college towns" in the SEC. Haven't been to College Station to compare as I said before. I'm not counting Columbia, Baton Rouge, Lexington, and Nashville because those are more a city environment and that's really apples and oranges to me.
So there is NO reason why we should let people bash Starkville. All the college towns have their dive bars, quirky local restaurants, and section of town to drink and hang out in. Same as pretty much any other college town in America.

College Station is just Starkville (2X). The difference is it is 90 minutes from Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.
