Cedric Jiles officially transferring
I Like Ced & wish he'd stay for experience/leadership in our secondary
-
I don't think this was his choice if I recall correctly
-
Didn't he have that pick 6 at the egg or was that someone else?
-
Mutual parting. Best for all involved. Wish him luck.

Out of curiosity, why don't we have space for him? I'm under the impression we aren't using all of our scholarships next year anyway -- is that not right?

Best for all involved. I agree with this if we have 85 players on scholarship come September. If we have 84, I disagree.

Why would we mutually part with a guy that started for us? You don't part with an experienced leader at a position of weakness when you can't even recruit a full roster without giving scholly's to long snappers. I ain't buying that it was mutual, but I won't argue about it.

Remember when Jiles first got here, Banks and Slay were saying he was a 3-year-and-pro player. Injuries slowed him and he's not the same player. Says a lot to me that we're keeping T. Cleveland.
Jiles was asked to leave, no doubt in my mind.

So there's no doubt in your mind that we will have 85 on scholarship Sept. 1?

We were honest with him about where he stands for next year. Our coaches, who have a rship with him and his best interest in mind, aren't going to lie to him and screw him over just to get him on the team. Nor should they. That's what we all banged on freeze for when he did it to tee shepherd.

Yea, really. I hate it for Ced, he's put in a lot of work here and represented my old hometown well. Hope he gets a good opportunity somewhere and does well.
You're blind if you can't see improvement.....Freshmens......Strain.....Kick rocks and pound sand......Drag my Yankee ass outta here!......

Yay!! This means we have another spot to fill that will go unfilled.
