    Bonner say abt Sirmon

Bonner just said Sirmon had two offers.

And he said Sirmon had contact with UL before Mullen did...

Good for Sirmon. Water under the bridge at this point, as it doesn't damper the excitement around Grantham.

Yeah. Because every top 10 program is looking for a Coordinator with the defense right in the 100s

Booner is just carrying water for the CL I see. Now, if Cohen could just get our media relations straightened out that would be great.

I could see Grantham telling the UL AD to cram it up his ass after the way he went off about WakeyLeaks. They could have kept it quiet while both sides were looking. In which case Sirmon might have been talking to UL before Mullen talked to Grantham. Hell, might even have been how the 2 connected.

17 Bonner. If Louisville hadn't hired him, the piece would've been "oh poor ole Sirmon, ripped from his home in Cali only to be fired from the megalomaniac Dan Mullen after only finishing 110th in the country in total D". Good riddance to both!

I'm waiting to see the headline: "Thanks Rebs! Ole Miss passes on Grantham to hire McGriff which allows the Bulldogs to find a defensive coordinator"

So if Sirmon contacted UL first then was Grantham looking to leave? I find it hard to believe UL said "Sirmon contacted us so we probably need to let Grantham go so we can get him ".

Sirmon is just waiting on a job with the Titans. He'll be a position coach in the NFL in a couple years.

I'm pretty sure base on his one year experience there were a lot of p5 calling him.

I agree. When I heard him say it I just wondered if he'd say those things with Cohen standing next to him. Not saying they're untrue, but because he said them I do question wether it went down like that.

Apparently Petrino and Grantham didn't always get along. Anyway, I don't really care how it went down- I like how it turned out for us. It seems like Grantham sort of has a Buddy Ryan type of personality- which is exactly what we need.

I'm just ready for Cohen (and Keenum) to suspend the CL's press credentials for an indefinite period of time so as to get their attention. Maybe one day...

I don't care what Rosebowl says on this. We need to punish the CL to get their respect. No one reads newspapers anymore anyway. We need to find another media outlet to cover us like Memphis' newspaper or a TV station.

Isn't Bonner on the way out or is he just trying to get out?
