Signing day part 1 thread
Ok. When's this party starting? Who announces first?
And are we still feeling good on all but Avery?
-
Abram and Cole will immediately make us better..... those are the 2 I want the most.

Anyone think that at least one of these last minute MSU leans is an Ole Miss plant...

To make themselves feel better. It was like there was too much good news yesterday.

Rivers, pope, an Autry pretty important too
-
OL/DL are utmost importance today. Everything else is gravy on a great biscuit

I'm excited about all of these guys, but it makes me nervous as hell to count on jucos. Hopefully it all works out.

Also Pierce and some kid named Thompson***...

Is Sweat signing today? Him and Riverw are the ones I'm most excited about as they bring some much needed impact help at DL. That's Bama and Michigan State that wanted these two kids at one point.

Looks like LSU just hired their OC. Hoping it doesn't affect Ravian.

I agree but things are a lot different than the Jackie Sherrill days in regards to JUCO players. Sherrill's biggest downfall at the end of his career at MSU was bringing in marginal JUCO players to start immediately. I think Mullen has his head screwed on straight with these guys plus the JUCO ranks are waaaay different than in the 90's.

There's always some concern, but it could be less with these guys because they all have played or started at other D1s before:
Sweat - Michigan State
Rivers - Georgia
Abrams - Georgia
Cole - Michigan

The thing is we did not sign a complete class last year so I feel at worst it will be a wash.

This is what a signing day looks like with no Ole Miss in state to recruit against... Most of these guys are very quality and started at other power five schools... We basically lost one guy to Auburn and got everyone else we wanted (assuming they all sign as expected)... I hope those bastards stay under the probation cloud for another five years
-
Also even if all of these guys just provide quality depth we are good.. We arnt really counting on them.. We signed three juco safeties hoping that at least one is a starter.. If they arnt you still have Bryant and McLaurin... The hope is somebody gets put out of a job as or at a minimum pushes the guys that are already here to be better... We signed three dline guys and two of them started at power five schools... One is and was a four star... But even if they are overated we still have Jeffrey Simmons, Corey Thomas, Marquis Spencer, and Fletcher Adams... So I mean we are depending on those guys to come in and start either... Now the Oline is always scary and we signed two of those... Hevesy has worked that out more than he doesnt... I know I know

I want to know if Key turns in financial papers today. That's who I want.

Almost.
Yes, they are a non-factor today, but they were a factor this Spring & Summer. Next year will be the first full year of them being irrelevant

Of course he will.
There's no concern with him, but somehow our fans have created a concern. He doesn't even have an LSU offer, & they won't be offering unless they think they can flip him.
