That's a great hire. The guy is super creative. He had a tackle that scored 4 tds this year on passes and reverses. The guy actually ran reverses with a 300 pound tackle.

Can't believe OM didn't snatch him up - aren't those trick plays with 5-stars their offensive bread and butter???

Sounds like Jeremy Liggins shouldve gone where Canada was.

Was fired by NC State last January. So there's a mixed bag

Canada had a great year with Pitt, but doesn't have the best long term track record. I'll be interested to see how patient the cajuns are with him..... they still need someone to throw the ball.

I watched Pitt some this year. They were creative and extremely multiple in their sets. He may suck at lsu but he was really good with Pitt athletes.

Don't know much about him but the fewest points they scored this year was 28. They also beat Penn St. Maybe we should've hired him as our OC.

I think we need an OC ... or give it over the BJ. I'm not always happy with our OC ... and I can give specific games over the last 3 years (worst case USA).

Our OC beat him pretty bad head to head in the Belk Bowl last year.

As he should've. I'm not saying our OC isn't pretty damn smart, but he also gets stuck in a pattern at times too and becomes predictable.

Now if our OC could consistently put up 28 on everyone not having an Elephant mascot, then I'd be thrilled. And if he could put up more than 10 every other year against the Elephant (as opposed to 1 time in 8) ... I'd be doubly thrilled.

They scored 28 on us ... probably with less talent than Pitt.

Ok. Seems like that may be a plus as far as QB development then.

I really don't know much about the guy ... just looked at their schedule and how many points they scored in each game. Didn't catch the Clemson win. Noticed that Miami held them to their lowest point total this year.

I figure there could be several candidates that would be huge upgrades as OCs at LSU. I'm thinking with this guy and Arranda ... LSU may become more stout than in the past. Yet to be seen tho.

ETA: Common denominator to holding this guy to 28 pts - Manny Diaz.

Creative spread scheme but still has a focus on the power run game. Seems like a very good hire. Coach O can just sit back, recruit and motivate.
