With Mo Claiborne going down for the Cowboys, I'd love them to pick him up

Now I don't feel as bad wanting them to lose.

He can't play for the bucs, that's not a good sign.

Doesn't mean he can't play for the saints. My teams (saints and state) have the worst cb's after breaux got hurt.

I hope he gets another shot, but no surprise when an NFL career is short.

Maybe, but the NFL is weird. Their are tons of guys that don't work out for one team & work out for another. The entire Dallas defense is called the "The Orphans" by DC Rod Marinelli because they are all mostly rejects from other teams.

Played well first two years. Struggled since. This is not a surprise. Hope he catches on somewhere.

Absolutely. I just haven't seen Banks enough on the NFL field to judge his level of talent. Main thing is though that you've got to fit in with your team. No outsiders allowed.

Breaux should be back in 2 weeks, so maybe not as desperate as a month ago. Calhoun is on their practice squad

NFL is odd in that players get cut like this to save salary cap money, and the player can be picket up by another team at lower cost.

He will get picked up by someone. Ravens are a real possibility. He didn't fit well with the current defensive coordinator. Also, Bucs weren't real happy with him not being around during the off-season. He fell out of favor. This might end up being good for the Bucs and good for Banks.

He's not fast, but has good ball skills and length. There are certainly worse defensive backs in the league.

But then you also have guys that were much higher rated and drafted higher than Banks (like Dee Milliner from Bama) who wash out of the league even faster than Banks did. Average NFL career is only about 4 years, and Banks is currently at 3.5 so he is right in the meaty part of the curve. Like somebodyshotmypaw said, not surprising.
