Ale State

Lazy Magnolia is finally coming out with a beer for Bulldogs. About 10 years ago I wrote them an email commenting how disappointed I was to find out that State grads had a brewery that had a beer specific to Ole Miss and one specific to Southern but not one for State. I received a pretty quick reply explaining their reasoning and they seemed like good people so I have enjoyed their beers over the years. However, I never tried their Reb Ale and when they changed the name to Deep South Pale Ale I still didn't drink it because I knew it's origins.
All that being said I am excited to try Ale State. It should be available about October 10 and it's supposed to be sessionable so it will be great for tailgating.

Haha you were pretty damn serious about that rebel beer lol. I tried it and didn't care for it. Southern Pecan is good but I rarely drink bees like that. Last time I had one I cooked with it. It's also a great substitute for Irish car bombs. When I drink lazy mag, it's timber beast.

They have been hit or miss with beers for me. I enjoy southern pecan and timber beast, but that southern gold is one of the worst beers I've ever tried. I try to support them either way, since they are so local to me. They are a good bunch of people too. I hope the Ale State is a success.
