    Donald Gray played last year though. He can't be too much of a newcomer.

    I was conflicted over whether to use a redshirt guy as a newcomer. Overall I think we will have a bunch of guys playing their roles. We will not have a superstar but we will have a solid team that by year's end will be very formidable.

    Which one of the 3 big freshman wr play this year? Right now Fred Ross is about the only returning wr with size that has played. I guess we could use more TE for those short yards and redzone plays. The only other wr I could think of is Jesse Jackson.

    Taking a leap of faith picking Story. But he's had good buzz around him and I'm hoping someone steps up on the OL. It's boring not taking at least one gamble in these picks. I really wanted to take Mixon or Gibson, but we all know Mullen isn't gonna let a freshman tote the rock any more than he's forced to. That became painfully obvious last season. We'll have to suffer watching Aeris rush for 3 YPC this year, unless Lee has gotten his shit together.

    Holloway is my MVO over Dear because Mullen gonna Mullen. And as long as he's used properly, Holloway has been effective.

    I took Smitherman as my Defensive Newcomer because EVERYONE is gonna pick Leo or Simmons. And I got a feeling someone will step up at CB. Smitherman has the most raw talent, so he's my pick. Again, just trying not to be boring.

    As much as I rip on Shump as a RB, he's still a good player with value to the team. He's maybe our best ST player and always busts his ass. And it's not his fault Mullen & Knox can't figure out he's a FB. He just seems like the quiet type that players will follow. We don't really have that "glue guy" like a Market this season that immediately pops in my head like some guys from years past. So I figure Shump is as good a pick as any for that spot. Would've gone Richie Brown, but he's arguably the leader of the D and All-SEC caliber.
