A ton of that is due to our pass blocking. Some of it is due to qb's not getting rid of the ball quickly enough

Last year is what made the numbers look worse but that is not a bad 4 year total. Top half in the league. If last year was similar to the the three previous years it would have been 3rd or 4th in the league. By the way, talking about holding on too long, 2012 with Tyler starting was the lowest with 19 for the year.

I figure Ole Miss would have some of the fewest, just due to their offense. They get the ball out quickly.

And until last year ARK threw the ball the least. I'd rather see this "per pass attempt"

I actually think our sack numbers go down this year v. 2015. These guys aren't going to be getting rid of the ball faster than Dak, but I think orders will be in place to where if Read 1 or 2 isn't there, run! Dak was ordered to stay more in the pocket and progress through reads more because: 1) He could and; 2) We didn't want him taking as many head-on collisions in the open field. Because of the depth and seeming interchangeability that we have this year, those guys will be out of the pocket A LOT this year. Hell, they were live in the Spring Game. That's unheard of!

We would be in the top 3 if not for the Bama and Ole Miss games last year.
