Runs Created Update - Mother F*ing Champs Edition

Link to the last update for comparison (Also go here if you need an explanation of what this is all about): http://www.elitedawgs.com/showthread...t=runs+created

Thanks to all the other teams not having as good of pitching as our hitting, we have some good batting stats.

With the final game of the regular season in the books, it's time for another look at some Runs Created. The second thing that stands out to me is that Robson has not been the same guy he was pre-injury yet. The first thing I noticed though was how truly amazing Mangum did this season, and in the end our hitting was so good it didn't even really matter that the best hitter on the team (at the time of his injury) was gone for a month or so. Mangum deserved the Ferris trophy, but Kruger, Lowe, Robson, Rooker, Humphreys, and Collins all deserve a lot of credit for hitting the ball good this season... very solid group of guys.

Cody Brown finally made it to 15 Plate Appearances (since my last update), and thus made into my chart. In very limited appearances, he's looking solid, although he has 6 strikeouts in only 17 at bats.

Rep points for using MFer in the title.

And great content - have really enjoyed these throughout the season.

Why is Mangum the only one with a green AVG score? I'd figure anything over .330 would be golden.

I don't consider the stat as important as others with more green. The others with multiple "greens" more than take into account average.

9 guys with an OPS above .800. That's impressive. Seven above .900.

great job Sleepy and thanks for doing this. I love looking at these chart and comparing them to the previous. I would be interested in seeing something for our pitchers if you would want to take the time to put together a few stats. I am not very baseball savvy but these really help see how the talent is distributed on the team and just how good these guys are.

The OBP was what has impressed me. 8 guys with an OBP above .400 and at one point before Robson got hurt, him and Mangum were both right at .500. Meant between both of them they had about the same chance to get on base as they did to get out.

I can remember so many times last year we would go 1-2-3 and never even make a pitcher work. This year, you are almost guaranteed of getting at least 1 guy on base every inning. Gives you a really good chance to put up enough runs to win any type of game, which we can do with this lineup.

I have considered putting together some pitching stats, but I'm not very familiar with pitching Sabermetrics. I would have to do some research to see what's out there, and if we have the stats available to even build them correctly.

Mangum's OPS being so high is even more impressive when you factor in that he only has one HR. That effer is getting on base at almost a 50% clip.

It's unreal how productive he is. It's like little league numbers.

Sleepy are your stats basically saying we need to get cole gordon more AB's? Or do you think that's un unreal expectation for him to keep up those numbers?
