    Curious baseball gurus, what does our recruiting look like

    for the next 2 maybe even 3 years? We seem to possibly be losing a great deal of fire power in the line up this year. Would like to hear all opinions.

    Crootin' looks good, don't worry about it. I don't think we miss a beat next year. And we'll be stacked in 2018.

    Perfect Game 2015 Preseason Underclass All-American 3rd Team member ... Perfect Game rates him a 10 (out of 10), which is considered a potential very high draft pick and an elite college prospect ... Throws his fastball 90-95, top 95 ... During his junior season he had a 4-3 record with a 3.71 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 49 innings ... Chose Mississippi State over interest from LSU and Auburn.

    As a junior, Brooks hit .304 with 2 home runs and 12 RBI in 74 at-bats ... Chose Mississippi State over interest from Southern Miss, LSU and Southeastern Louisiana.

    Marc Coffers, OF, 6-foot-0, 190, R-R, Barron Collier (FL) High School
    A Perfect Game 2014 and 2015 Preseason Underclass All-American High Honorable Mention selection ... Rated a 9.5 by Perfect Game, which is considered a potential high draft pick and highest level college prospect ... Chose Mississippi State over interest from East Carolina, Florida, Notre Dame and Vanderbilt

    A Pefect Game 2015 Preseason Underclass 3rd Team All-American seleciton and a 2014 Preseason Underclass All-American High Honorable Mention selection ... Throws his fastball in the high 80s range ... Chose Mississippi State over interest from Alabama, Auburn, UAB and Vanderbilt.


    Pretty solid class, and domination in MS. Ole Miss got the Oxford boys, but that's somewhat expected. We are still taking a lot of Desoto guys they used to count on. I do think the consensus is that Walker Robbins is going pro.

    my understanding is our recruiting can go from great to good depending on how badly we get hit by the draft. Thats a good problem to have imo

    The Dillard kid from Oxford is by all accounts will be going pro as well...comes straight from his father, Tom Dillard.
