    When a coach's tweet backfires

Sumlin's assistant coach tweeted about loyalty after a recruit decommitted which promptly caused other recruits to decommit.

Sounds like those kids wanted out and saw an opportunity. Otherwise it looks like they are being a little bit sensitive, the adults will probably cave and pander though.

If there is ever a coach that needs to stay it's Sumlin... A&M is a sleeping GIANT waiting on the right guy.. IMO..

True. Sumlin is a big dose of Ambien to that program. They actually get a good coach and they'd rule the West.

Somewhere Hugh Freeze is crying because he's going to miss this opportunity to witness to these young men and show them how beautiful the UNM campus is all because the mean ol' NCAA is in town and national reporters are looking over his shoulder.

He'll just send out his disciples into the world instead of bringing the players to Oxford.

Agreed. Only one recruit that I know of actually decommitted after the tweet, and he was a guy who's been wavering for a while.

I'm sure Houston's Tom Herman is licking his chops waiting for either the Texas or A&M jobs to open up. After watching the most recent Peach Bowl, we'd all prefer he go to Texas.
